Crystals for Home Feng Shui

Feng shui is the traditional Chinese practice of arranging your environment to support good energy flow. Crystals are one of its most accessible tools. Here is a room-by-room guide for the modern home.

The Entrance

The entrance is where all energy enters your home. Place a black obsidian tumble near the front door as a protective filter - it is traditionally said to absorb unwanted energy. Add a clear quartz point nearby to amplify positive vibrations.

The Living Room

The living room is the social heart of the home. Place clear quartz in a central spot to amplify energy, and add rose quartz for warmth and bonding. Avoid sharp crystal points aimed at seating.

The Bedroom

The bedroom is for rest. Amethyst on the nightstand is the universal pick - gentle, calming, sleep-supporting. Avoid energetic stones like citrine or pyrite in the bedroom.

The Kitchen

The kitchen represents nourishment and wealth. Citrine in the windowsill is traditional for attracting abundance. If you do not have citrine, green aventurine is the classic substitute for the wealth corner.

The Home Office

The Bathroom

Bathrooms are said to drain energy down with the water. Place black obsidian or amethyst on a shelf to anchor the space. Avoid water-sensitive crystals like selenite in humid rooms.
